about the help and Chinesization file

I have two questions:

·When I use win10, cannot open a help file from the program

·When I use the Chinesization file pop-up prompts "Failed to load the resources file: D: MUSHclient locale CH_small DLL - trying English file" (on Windows xp virtual machine)

Where did you install it? Try installing the client in Documents or somewhere not in Program Files.

I tried to install it on files Documents and program, but also try other addresses, but the problem still exists.

Another question, how to open the program's help documentation on windows10

This is correct. There are some workarounds floating around the internet for getting a copy that will work, though, if you search a bit for "WinHlp32 Windows 10".

There is a plugin "MUSHclient_Help" which ships with MUSHclient.

Once installed, you can type "mchelp" to get hints.


To get general help:
  
  mchelp  <search string>
  mchelps <search string>   --> get help with snippet (context) shown
  
  mchelp   --> on its own, shows this help

Search strings can have boolean operators in them, namely the words:
  
  AND NEAR NOT OR

These words must be in all capitals or they are just searched for literally. 

For example:

  mchelp trigger AND alias
  mchelp delete AND trigger NEAR count
  mchelp search NOT table
  mchelp search -table
  mchelp add OR delete
  mchelp next NEAR/5 table
  mchelp add AND (trigger OR alias)

(The syntax NEAR/5 means if one word is within 5 words of another word, the default is 10)

You can use a wildcard suffix, eg.
  
  mchelp trigg*

You can look for phrases by putting them in quotes, eg.
  
  mchelp "hash a string"
  
You can restrict the lookup to the item name (eg. the function name) like this:

  mchelp name:utils.*

Thank you. This problem has been solved.

There is a simple solution if you have access to a system running XP.

1. On the XP system get a copy of the file C:\Windows\winhlp32.exe

2. Copy the file to Win 10 system into C:\Program Files (x86)\Folder name of program(s) using .hlp files
