I've just noticed that with the option ctrl_backspace_deletes_last_word enabled, Ctrl+Backspace does delete the word to the left of the cursor (which is the intention), but then positions the cursor at the end of the whole text instead of keeping it where deleted fragment used to be. It makes deleting several words a weird process, because Ctrl+Backspace repeated three times is not "delete three words before cursor", but "delete one word before cursor and two at the end of the text".
Ctrl+Backspace behaving counter-intuitively in 5.06

Yes, this looks like a bug. Fixed in the latest pre-release version. See http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/?id=13903 for how to obtain that.
