OK, I have MUSHClient open 2 worlds automatically on startup. If i'm not on the internet when i open it, the 1st world shows me an error message telling me that it can't connect, but then it stops, i.e. the 2nd world does nothing, the connect button remains pressed but it doesn't connect or error out. If i want to connect i have to press it twice, once for it to go up and once to go down. If i type while it's pressed, i get the "connection is being established" message.

Just disable the message on "notify me if unable to connect".

It IS disabled.

I tried that and don't get any error messages.

What did you do? i have 2 worlds opening up on startup and am not connected to the internet. I get an error message.

I had two worlds opening at startup, the server was not running and thus it couldn't connect, and I had unchecked in global preferences "notify me if unable to connect".

Right, I tried that, and it didn't display messages. That is different though, because in your case it actually waits for the connection to time out, while in mine it fails right when mushclient starts up...

I didn't say that, it gave up pretty quickly.

I tried it with the server being down, and it didn't give up immediately. In my case it gives up immediately as it starts up, like 100 ms delay
