Core dump

When my mud does a core dump it producess a core file like
this core.1234. The problem I have is if my mud does
a core dump more then once it will produce another file
core.1235. How do I make it so that it only makes a file
called core so that it will just over write its slef.

I'm sure there's a better way of doing this, but the quick'n'easy way would be to modify your startup script to do the following:

mv core.* core

That will move the core file onto core (i.e. replace it.) Since there will never be more than one core file, there won't be any ambiguity.

You'd do that before or after the MUD starts. After is probably better.
