I don't really think it is MUSHclient, as many people here will assure you that it is very reliable. Personally I leave it running for days with no problems.

There are avenues you could explore.

Are you using scripting? Try disabling that. Otherwise try downloading the latest script dll from Microsoft.

Have you the latest Winsock dll?

Often the latest software release (eg. Windows XP) is the least reliable, hardly the fault of the user software.

I know of someone who recently connected to the Internet using a dial-up modem, and after 5 minutes the PC crashed, and had to be rebooted (and this problem kept happening). However she wasn't using MUSHclient.

Try using another client, see if the problem goes away. If not, please post again so we know it isn't MUSHclient's fault.

I use MushClient 3.17 on two od my computers. Both use Windows XP Professional and have no troubles with MUSHclient/XP interoperability.

Whatever troubles you're having, you can at least rest assured that it's possible tto get the two to work together and that *some* way to cire your problem should be possible.

What other applications or utilities do you have running at the time? Does anything nonstandard load at startup?
