Greetings, I'm having some trouble understanding the problem with my computer, modem etc etc.

Here's the deal;

I can connect to my mud with this way;

When I use 127.0.0.1 Port: 4000

I can't connect to my mud with this way;

When I use Myipadress Port:4000

So my friend told me that it'd be something to do with port forwarding, so I added the 4000th port on my modem's Virtual Server configuration. But still I couldn't solve the problem. If any of you know why I can't connect to the mud via internet(since I use the ip adress instead of 127.0.0.1) please let me know.

That actually happened to me on my old router. My new router doesn't have this problem.

But there was nothing I found out on how to fix it.

When you set up port forwarding in your router, what IP address did you forward port 4000 to?

Well I figured out the problem. It looks like you cannot connect to your computer using it's ip, rather than the 127.0.0.1.

Thanks anyway.
