MUSHclient or SmaugFUSS Hotboot issue?

As I'm not really sure who the culprit is here I'm posting here first. If it's not an MC issue I'll go ask in the SmaugFUSS forums. This may be normal MC behaviour and/or two separate issues.

I'm testing hotboot in SmaugFUSS 1.9. It appears to work fine..

The flow of time is halted momentarily as the world is reshaped!

Time resumes its normal flow.

That is until I type a (any) command. Then both MC and the MUD disconnect. I get an error popup window in MC that says "Could not decompress text from MUD: invalid stored block lengths"

Turn off MCCP on the MUD and try it.

It looks to me like the Mud is sending garbage that MC doesn't know what to do with?

My MUD says "Huh?" when I type compress or compress/mccp.

Try going into the client world configuration, Appearence -> Output and checking "Disable Compression". See if that helps.

From the packet debug it looks very much like the MCCP stream has not synced properly, which would be a server issue, as the client doesn't know you are doing a hotboot.

Disable Compression in MC didn't help. Same error.
Should I take this over to the Smaug forums?

Yes, since MUSHclient has no way of knowing if the server did a hotboot or not, and the problem occurs after one, this is a SMAUGFuss issue.
